Proposed Conditions: The Ric Williamson Memorial Highway connection at IH-20 is proposed as a diamond interchange with a new bridge across IH-20 and new ramp connections onto IH-20. This project will include TxDOT coordination and preparation of an interstate access justification study and an environmental study in accordance with TxDOT standards.
Project Update: The County was recently selected for Pass-Through Funding for this project, which means they will have to pay for the interchange up front, but TxDOT will pay back the cost of construction over the next 12-15 years. This project is currently anticipated to begin construction at the beginning of 2013.
